The car both accelerated and braked better, as well as allowing us to soften the damping to increase traction, it enabled the car to take bumps and even potholes much smoother without deflecting the direction. The wheels also contributed to allowing the new Ascari A10 to achieve 0-100kph in 2.73 seconds. |

Koenigsegg is happy to be pioneering the carbon wheel technology from Dymag. This is a true achievement in performance car wheel technology and something the industry has been dreaming about for a long time. It does not only enhance the look, but drastically increases the performance of the car. |

The MT 900S will be the first US production car with factory equipped carbon fibre wheels. The revolutionary 18 & 20 inch nine-spoke Dymag wheels sport a magnesium centre hub with carbon fibre rims. The front and rear carbon fibre rims weigh 14 and 17.5 lbs respectively, compared to the current used wheels which weigh 24 and 28.5 lbs respectively. This translates into a total reduction in rotating un-sprung weight of 42 pounds. The Dymag carbon/magnesium wheels have nearly half as much rotational inertia as forged aluminium wheels. And, of course, pursuant to our imperative for total performance, the large savings in un-sprung weight improves handling and ride qualities as well as our already extreme acceleration, braking and cornering. |

Last weekend we went up to Infineon Sears Pt to qualify for the Super street Time Attack finale held at Buttonwillow the week after SEMA. We ran the cup car in the unlimited class – Shod with the Rennworx / Dymag Carbon wheels - We were able to post the fastest time of the day and set a new track record...... I am pleased to report that the Carbon Dymag wheels performed flawlessly and James reported an improvement in the feel and performance of the car. At one point James used the curbing to get around the track. What would have most likely bent a normal 3 piece wheel. The Dymag showed no signs of any damage or fatigue....What so ever. |

It really was a privilege to use the new
carbon wheels.
The team was very
pleased and proud to be the first race team to use carbon wheels. At the
first Britcar race of the season the car was nearly one second per lap
quicker than it’s
times last year at Snetterton circuit. We achieved a class pole position and
won the class in the race. We finished second overall beating many of the
Porsches and the more powerful cars. |

The wheels are worth about 40 BHP on the 996 GT3 RS. The “power saving” was worth many hundreds of thousands of Pounds (Sterling) of engine development to extract the same amount of power reliably from the engine |
