History
Magnesium
| Established in the early 1970's to supply magnesium one-piece to Formula One. | |
| Progressed to offering magnesium wheels to all single-seater race car series (Indy, FF2000, F3, F3000, F-Atlantic). | |
| Designed and produced the world's first magnesium motorcycle racing wheels for riders such as Barry Sheene and Eddie Lawson. | |
| Progressed to encompass other forms of motorsport such as Rally (Toyota) and Paris-Dakar Rallye Raid (Mitsubishi). | |
| Expanded product offering to include limited edition OEM requirements & OEM aftermarket options for both car and motorcycle applications. |
| First carbon fibre motorcycle wheel designed in 1994. Dymag developed their own die-forming process to optimise the wheel design and material properties. | |
| On completion of factory test programme, wheels were supplied to an endurance team for evaluation (Year 2000 world champions). | |
| Following 3 seasons of 12 hour and 24 hour endurance races without any negative indicators, the product was deemed fit for release. | |
| The growth in carbon fibre sales led to the formation of Dymag Composites in 1998. This facility is located within the main magnesium wheel factory. | |
| Production for 2005 is underway on commercially viable Carbon Fibre car wheels for aftermarket, race and OEM applications. Current options encompass a range of Carbon Fibre rims with forged magnesium spokes. | |
